¡ô Introduction Of Institute wxsyBrief Introduction of International Exchange at the
¡ô Introduction Of Department ¡ý Institute Wuxi Institute of Commerce (WXIC) has always laid
  stress on the international cooperation and exchange. So far,
Electronic Engineering Department the institute has institutional linkages with many international
Mechanic Engineering Department universities and colleges. In recent years, dozens of teaching

Trade and Economics Department and regions for further study, co-research or international
Tourism Management Department symposiums: the U.S.A. Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany
Art & Design Department , Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Denmark and Hong Kong.
Foreign Languages Department Meanwhile, the institute has, at many occasions, invited some
Information Engineering Department famous scholars and professors to give series of lectures on
International Exchanges various subjects. At present WXIC is continuously extending
  the field of exchange and cooperation with the outside world.
She has signed the cooperative agreement with Century
¡ô Location
 College, Canada, to develop joint programs in higher education
  and set up a Sino-Denmark international business simulation
laboratory.
 
wxsyAbout International Office International Office of WXIC,
directly reporting to President, is a functional organization
responsible for the schoolwork related to international
cooperation and exchange affairs. She bears double duties of
strictly following foreign policy and foreign affairs management.
Her responsibilities are : (1) Explore and establish linkages with
overseas universities and colleges.(2)Employ foreign teachers
(3) Invite short-term lecturers or researches to the institute
for lecture, joint research or other academic activities.(4)
Provide assistance to all foreign faculty living on the campus
(5) Manage staff education conducted in foreign universities
and colleges (6) Manage Sino-foreign joint projects in
education.(7) Organize and manage the Chinese Language
Center and the Service Center for Overseas Education.
For many years, we have been dedicating ourselves to
promoting the internationalization of WXIC. In the days to
come, through our special window, we are willing to make
WXIC advance to the world and let the world know about
WXIC. We warmly welcome more experts and scholars to our
institute conducting academic exchanges and cooperation.

wxsyAbout Sino- Canadian Joint Project in Higher
Education In 2003,WVICT and Century College, Canada,
decided to establish Sino-Canadian Joint Project in Higher
Education in accordance with the Regulations of the People's
Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running
School. Authorized by Jiangsu Provincial Department of
Education, the project sets up 3 major specialities: Business
Administration, Tourism Management and E- Business. 37 new
students from Jiangsu and other provinces were enrolled in the
project last year. The project stresses the training of both
English language skills and professional skills. It offers more
than 30 courses, 7 of which are instructed by the teachers
from Century College, Canada. Each of the graduates from the
project will be awarded the diplomas by WVICT and Century
College respectively. After graduation, the students can obtain
employment in China or take up advanced studies at Century
College and other universities in North American Universities
Union, such as University of Lethbridge, Athabasca University,
Kwantlen University, Royal Roads University and University of
Houston.
