| on Wuxi Commercial School , a trade school of national | |||||||||
| reputation and significance established in 1965. Approved | |||||||||
| by the government of Jiangsu Province in October 2000, | |||||||||
| the trade school was promoted to Wuxi Institute of Commerce . | |||||||||
| Now it is a full-time institute under the direct leadership | |||||||||
| of the Educational Commission of Jiangsu Province and | |||||||||
| trains practical and technical talents in business and trade. | |||||||||
| wxsyThe institute is composed of three campuses named | |||||||||
| Tangshan ,Hengshan and Xihui respectively. It covers an area of | |||||||||
| 246 acres and its total building area amounts to 320,000 | |||||||||
| square meters. It possesses 25 multi-media classrooms and | |||||||||
| over 100 laboratories equipped with advanced instruments. | |||||||||
| There are 780 people working on the institute staff, among | |||||||||
| whom more than 250 have got middle or high academic titles in | |||||||||
| their own fields. The institute enrolls more than 12,000 | |||||||||
| students(including three-year college students, four-year double | |||||||||
| majors, three-year college students directly from vocational | |||||||||
| schools and five-year college students directly from junior high | |||||||||
| schools) from such 11 Chinese provinces and municipalities as | |||||||||
| Shandong, Anhui, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Gansu, | |||||||||
| Hunan, Hubei and Chongqing and has thus set up its own | |||||||||
| constant base for more future students. It offers subjects and | |||||||||
| disciplines and construct talents training patterns in accordance | |||||||||
| to the social and economic development of Jiangsu Province in | |||||||||
| general and the Yangtze Triangle in particular. Up to now it has | |||||||||
set up such eight departments as Electronic Engineering, |
